Scanhaven is built on a simple promise: your documents are yours. This policy explains what that means in practice.
Scanhaven performs all scanning, image processing, optical character recognition (OCR) and PDF creation locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives your documents. We do not collect, store, sell, or share the contents of your scans, your files, or any personal information.
Scanhaven itself requests no system permissions at all — not even camera or storage. Document capture runs inside the Google Play services scanner (which uses its own camera permission), photo imports use the Android Photo Picker, and files are saved only where you choose via the system file picker. The app declares no INTERNET permission: it has no ability to upload anything.
You do not need to create an account to use Scanhaven. The app does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not track your activity across other apps or websites.
If you choose to buy an optional upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play. Google Play handles billing information according to its own privacy policy; Scanhaven never sees your payment details.
If a future version offers crash diagnostics, it will be strictly optional, anonymous, and disabled by default. It will never include the contents of your documents.
Scanhaven is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version on this page.
